THE LEGEND OF THE BUFFALO SOLDIER
.jpg)
Buffalo Soldiers originally were members of the 10th Cavalry Regiment of the United States Army, formed on September 21, 1866, at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. This nickname was given to the Colored Cavalry Men by Native American tribes who fought in the Indian Wars. The Native Americans gave the Black Soldiers that nickname because of the soldier's dark, curly hair and the buffalo-hide coats they wore. The soldiers also fought so valiantly and fiercely that the Native Americans revered them as they did the mighty buffalo. The term eventually became synonymous with all of the African-American regiments formed in 1866. The soldiers took the nickname as a sign of respect from Native Americans.
The Buffalo Soldier name is steep in rich history and traditions. That is why I am proud to call myself a Buffalo Soldier. On May 19, 1988, I joined the Army as a 19D Armored Reconnaissance Specialist. In short a Cavalry Man. I have had the honor of serving in the 9th and 10th Cavalry Regiment. Still, it wasn't until 1990 while stationed in Bamberg Germany with the 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment that I started craving BBQ. So I found a recipe, bought a grill, and this is where my BBQ history began. I have been wowing family and friends ever since. For over 32 years I have been changing and tweaking my recipe into what it has become today Buffalo Soldier BBQ Original.
I love the bbq sauce! I see it’s out of stock. When will it be in stock again? I am almost out
This sauce is delicious! It can go on all meats, ribs, chicken, brats, porkchops, everything! I use it in meatloaf! 😋
